Don't just take our word for it. Here is what actual homeowners in your area have to say about our installations.

"After losing power for 3 days last winter, I called 4BEYOND. They walked me through everything without any pushy sales tactics. The Generac they installed kicked on flawlessly during last week's storm. True professionals."

"I was intimidated by the whole permit and installation process. The 4BEYOND team handled literally everything with my HOA and the town. The crew was respectful, cleaned up after themselves, and walked me through how to check the app."

"Honest, local guys. They didn't try to upsell me on a massive unit I didn't need. They sized the Kohler perfectly for our essential circuits. Highly recommend to anyone on Long Island looking for peace of mind."

You won't even notice the power went out.

Our installations include an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). In plain English: it's a smart box that connects your generator to your home's electrical panel. When a storm knocks out the grid, the ATS automatically turns your generator on within 10 seconds. You don't have to go outside, flip any switches, or mess with extension cords.

Works While You're Away: Whether you're sleeping or on vacation, it turns on and protects your fridge, heating, and security systems automatically.

Clean, Local Installs: We use authorized Generac and Kohler equipment, set on a professional concrete pad, installed by fully licensed electricians.

Common Questions & Sizing Answers

Direct, verified technical information on residential backup power, automatic transfer switches, and municipal codes in Long Island and NYC.

Generator sizing depends on your home's total electrical load and whether you require whole-home or essential-circuit backup. A 14kW to 18kW generator powers essential circuits (refrigeration, heating controls, sump pump, lights, Wi-Fi). A 20kW to 26kW air-cooled unit delivers true whole-home coverage for a typical 2,500–4,000 sq. ft. home including 1–2 central AC units. For homes over 5,000 sq. ft. with multiple HVAC zones, pool heaters, and EV chargers, 30kW to 48kW liquid-cooled systems are recommended. Formula: Running Load (Amps × 240V) + Largest Motor Starting Inrush = Required Generator kW.
